Terms of Use

What these terms cover, and the much larger thing they deliberately do not.

What these terms cover

These terms cover your use of this website and any consultation request you send through it. That is their whole scope.

They do not cover a solar agreement. If you go on to sign one, that is a separate document between you and the companies named in it, and it governs itself.

Who runs this site

Alex Fernandez is an appointment setter for Skyline Smart Energy, operating under the name RayCrest Energy. This is Alex's personal website and is not an official website of Skyline Smart Energy. Alex does not design, install, or service solar systems, and does not set pricing or financing terms. All solar system design, installation, warranty service, and contracting work is performed by Skyline Solar LLC, doing business as Skyline Smart Energy, a licensed contractor, CSLB #1028741.

What booking a consultation is

Sending the form is a request for a conversation. It books nothing on its own, it commits you to nothing, and it commits me to nothing beyond replying to you.

If the conversation goes further, the next step is a free site survey carried out by Skyline Smart Energy's team. They decide what your roof can carry. I do not.

What nothing on this site is

Nothing here is an offer to sell, a contract, a quote, a price, an estimate of savings, or a promise that a system can be installed at your address.

I do not quote, price, or set financing terms, and I am not permitted to. No agreement is formed by reading this site or by sending the form.

Who you would actually be contracting with

If you decide to go ahead, the paperwork names the companies you are contracting with. Skyline Solar LLC is the licensed contractor that performs the work, and the agreement covering the system itself is with the provider financing it, not with Skyline Smart Energy and not with me.

I am not a party to any of it. I do not set its terms and I cannot change them. Read it before you sign it, and put your questions about it to the companies whose names are on it.

The information on these pages is general

What is written here is general information about residential solar and about how the offer is structured. It is not a verdict on your house.

Shade, roof condition, roof space and the age of your roof all change the answer, and none of them can be assessed from a web page. Only the site survey, carried out by Skyline Smart Energy's licensed team, can tell you what your roof supports.

Pages change

Equipment, timelines and program details change. Pages are updated when they do, and I cannot promise every page is current at the moment you read it.

If something here matters to your decision, ask me and I will check it before you act on it.

Using this site fairly

Please do not submit another person's contact details without their permission, do not submit information you know to be false, and do not try to interfere with the site or the form.

I may decline to respond to a request that appears to be any of those.

The information you send

What happens to the details you type into the form is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: it is used to contact you about a consultation and to arrange the assessment, and it is not sold, rented, or traded.

Read the Privacy Policy

Calls and texts

Sending the form with your phone number is a request to be called back about it.

The text box on the form is separate and optional. Leaving it unchecked does not affect your consultation. Either way the contact comes from me personally, not an automated system, and you can tell me to stop at any time.

Links to other sites

This site links out to public records held by California's Contractors State License Board and Public Utilities Commission, and to other pages from time to time.

Those pages are not mine. I am not responsible for what they say or for whether they stay where they are.

Availability and limits

This site is provided as it is. I cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors, and I am not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from using it or from being unable to use it.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under California law that cannot be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, which is where I work and where the consultations happen.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the revised version will be posted on this page.
